Who We Are

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization Different Mindset, Inc. is a nonprofit organization based in Prince George’s County, Maryland. We’re here to support women of all areas of society, which includes immigrant women, women with disabilities and women who have experienced abuse. We do so by helping them navigate difficult systems and access essential resources; with our aim being to assist them to build independent and successful lives. We know firsthand that these women face many challenges, and we are dedicated to ensure they get the help they need to thrive.

Our Mission

To empower women of all backgrounds in Prince George’s County, which includes immigrant women, women with disabilities and women who have experienced abuse, by providing personalized guidance and access to essential resources. We bridge cultural and systemic gaps to help these women lead independent and fulfilling lives and contribute to their communities.

Our Vision

To build a future where women with disabilities and/or have experienced abuse, can be celebrated as leaders, change-makers and become active contributors in their communities. We aim to break barriers and create legacies of empowerment and transformation for generations to come.

Different Mindset, Inc. stands out by offering personalized, culturally-sensitive services that empower women of all backgrounds, such as immigrant women, women with disabilities, women who have experienced abuse. We provide more than just basic needs to these women, we also equip them with the necessary tools to succeed and build long-term independence. With your support, we can reach more women in need and help create a lasting change with a stronger and more inclusive community.
